Aims and Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will have the knowledge and understanding of tooth morphology, successful bonding techniques and predictable anterior restorations in general dental practice

Posterior Composite

Aims and Objectives

By the end of this day, course delegates will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and practical skill in the direct restoration of posterior teeth with Dr Ahmed Tadfi in the following areas:

  1. Hands on: Fast Modelling Technique using a simplified anatomy approach

  2. Hands on: Rubber dam Quadrant isolation

  3. Hands on: Class I restoration on upper premolar and molar

  4. Hands on: Class I MOD restoration on upper molar

  5. Hands on: Class I MOB (cusp fracture) on upper molar using silicone index

Course Instructors

  • Ahmed Hussain

    Dr Ahmed qualified from Bart’s and the London in 2006. He completed his MJDF and MFDS soon after and in 2015, he received a MSc in Restorative dentistry with distinction at the Eastman Dental Institute and went on to being published in a world renowned journal.

    Ahmed has co-authored several books including ‘Masterclass in Anterior Composites’ and runs an anterior/posterior live composite course at his private practice in London.

    He is also a trainer for Smile Dental Academy and has also taught up and down the country at numerous conferences and universities.Ahmed has a special interest in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry and is passionate about passing on his knowledge to fellow professionals and the next generation of dentists.

  • Ahmed Tadfi

    After completing a BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences, Ahmed went on to graduate dentistry from the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2014 where he received several awards for his endodontic and restorative work. Ahmed has specific interests in Endodontics, Aesthetics and Restorative dentistry.

    Ahmed's experience and training has earned him international recognition within the high-end cosmetic dentistry circles and has featured as a key opinion leader for a number of major dental companies.

    Ahmed is regarded by his peers as a highly skilled clinician and is now involved in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate dentists.

    Ahmed was awarded "Best Young Dentist in the UK" at the FMC Dentistry Awards in 2018.
