This 2-day hands-on course will provide a comprehensive practical guide to the equipment, materials and clinical techniques for optimizing direct composite restorations.

Delegates will complete a series of step-by-step practical exercises designed to enable mastery of the functional and aesthetic restoration of posterior and anterior teeth.

Anterior Composite

A comperhensive masterclass that covers the art and science of dirct compsoite bonding.

Learn the tips and tricks to achieve beautiful natural-looking composite work shared by Dr. Ahmed Hussain.

Aims and Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will have the knowledge and understanding of tooth morphology, successful bonding techniques and predictable anterior restorations in general dental practice

All delegates with be given a 165-page book  “A Guide to composite veneers” by Ahmed Hussain.

Posterior Composite

Aims and Objectives

By the end of this day, course delegates will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and practical skill in the direct restoration of posterior teeth with Dr Ahmed Tadfi in the following areas:

  1. Hands on: Fast Modelling Technique using a simplified anatomy approach

  2. Hands on: Rubber dam Quadrant isolation

  3. Hands on: Class I restoration on upper premolar and molar

  4. Hands on: Class I MOD restoration on upper molar

  5. Hands on: Class I MOB (cusp fracture) on upper molar using silicone index

Course Instructors

  • Ahmed Hussain

    Dr Ahmed qualified from Bart’s and the London in 2006. He completed his MJDF and MFDS soon after and in 2015, he received a MSc in Restorative dentistry with distinction at the Eastman Dental Institute and went on to being published in a world renowned journal.

    Ahmed has co-authored several books including ‘Masterclass in Anterior Composites’ and runs an anterior/posterior live composite course at his private practice in London.

    He is also a trainer for Smile Dental Academy and has also taught up and down the country at numerous conferences and universities.Ahmed has a special interest in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry and is passionate about passing on his knowledge to fellow professionals and the next generation of dentists.

  • Ahmed Tadfi

    After completing a BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences, Ahmed went on to graduate dentistry from the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2014 where he received several awards for his endodontic and restorative work. Ahmed has specific interests in Endodontics, Aesthetics and Restorative dentistry.

    Ahmed's experience and training has earned him international recognition within the high-end cosmetic dentistry circles and has featured as a key opinion leader for a number of major dental companies.

    Ahmed is regarded by his peers as a highly skilled clinician and is now involved in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate dentists.

    Ahmed was awarded "Best Young Dentist in the UK" at the FMC Dentistry Awards in 2018.

I think the best thing is the fact because you're literally chair-side you can much more easily visualise the process as if I were carrying out the procedure myself, which resonates and sticks in my mind far better than practice on a model ever does… just subtle things like where your positioning your chair for a photo or even just how you hold and angle the instrument when using it

    I also really appreciated the talks given before the cases to give background, being able to understand the planning and stages of the case and of course, the hands on practical for the posteriors was a nice surprise! My posterior composites the next day were already better!"

    I did the composite artistry course and if I could give 10 stars I would. Ahmed Hussain, Ahmed Tadfi and Anca were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They were approachable at all times and treat you like family throughout the day. The content of the course was straight to the point and very educational with real valuable nuggets of information that you can implement into your daily practice immediately the achieve some of the beautiful results that they achieve. Although there are many fantastic courses out there which demonstrate their techniques on plastic teeth, being able to watch these demos being carried out on live patients is unparalleled. Watching the guys deal with problems mid-treatment whilst simultaneously teaching you just shows that these guys are genuinely excellent at what they do. I would highly recommend any dentist at any level to spend a day watching Ahmed & Ahmed do what they do best. Very thankful to the guys for the experience and hope to come again soon.

    The small group size was one of the best aspects, it made the whole experience feel more tailored, personal and almost a 1-2-1 experience. It also helped us to learn better as we fed off each others questions and never felt too crowded

    My favourite part was seeing the live patient cases from start to finish. This was very unique for a course and was my first experience of it, and honestly I felt I learnt a thousand times more through that than just a lecture. It gave a very good appreciation of timings in real life, the practical aspects of such treatments and patient/anatomy handling

    Dr Hussain and Dr Tadfi were exceptional in teaching, very easy going and easy to follow and we felt we could easily ask questions when we wanted to, all the way to 8pm which was very kind of them both to allow haha, so thank you!
